Magnificat anima mea Dominum.
Et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salutari meo.
   My soul magnifies the Lord.
And my spirit rejoices in God my salvation.

Quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae:
ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes
generationes.
For he has regarded the humility of his handmaiden:
for behold henceforth all generations will call me
blessed.

Quia fecit mihi magna qui potens est:
et sanctum nomen eius.
For he who is mighty has done great things for me:
and holy is his name.

Et misericordia eius a progenie in progenies:
timentibus eum.
And his mercy is from generation to generations:
to those who fear him.

Fecit potentiam in brachio suo:
dispersit superbos mente cordis sui.
He has shown might in his arm:
he has scattered the proud in the conceit of their
heart.

Deposuit potentes de sede,
et exaltavit humiles.
He has cast down the powerful from their thrones,
and has exalted the humble.

Esurientes implevit bonis:
et divites dimisit inanes.
The hungry he has filled with good things:
and the rich he has sent away empty.

Suscepit Israel puerum suum:
recordatus misericordiae suae.
He has taken Israel as his son:
and remembered his mercy.

Sicut locutus est ad patres nostros,
Abraham et semini eius in saecula.
As he spoke to our fathers,
Abraham and his seed forever.

Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui Sancto:
sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper,
et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be in eternity. Amen.
